Wordpress has proven itself time and time again as the most useful and most equipped blogging platform around. It’s vast array of resources and numerous plugins that make changing the appearance, content and appeal of a blog as simple as pointing and clicking have catapulted it into the realm of one of the most commonly downloaded open source applications on the internet.
Wordpress Being Open Source is Vital
Open source programming is nothing new, but it has always been something special. The concept is simple; programmers build a working model for a piece of software and then hand over all of that code to whomever wants it, allowing other users to make changes or adjustments and build add-ons. Hundreds of free internet distributed programs follow the open-source philosophy and are thus infinitely more viable than static programs that are constantly waiting for updates from a major corporation. For Wordpress, this means that new additions and updates are available almost constantly, repairing bugs much faster than Microsoft could ever manage.
Wordpress Themes and Customization
Something everyone wants to be able to do is change the look of their blog to suit their personality. With Wordpress, there are already hundreds of existing templates and themes developed by other users. However, for those with the technical knowhow, changing the theme or template is just as possible. The most important step in having a successful blog of any type is to have a plan. Who are the blog readers that you are trying to target? You must identify your target audience. Start with a broad term like bloggers, then drill down to a term such as wordpress blogger’s, then even further to people who want to build a Blog Income type of Site. Once you have established the type of interests your Blog readers have you can go to the next step.
How to attract your Blog Income Readers
There are several methods to get traffic to your blog, to many to mention in this post. We will go into depth on this subject in future posts. But for now lets concentrate on creating content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) purposes as an example of a traffic method. When you create your content you must abide by a few simple SEO rules, such as keyword density, using LSI words and where to place keywords in the post. I want to welcome all the readers of Easy Blog Income! The purpose and vision of this weblog is to establish a community of new and established bloggers that want to get together to explore all aspects of blogging, including personnel blogging, niche blogging, business blogging and readers that want a blog income type of blog.
