Video Blogging Creates Excitement!
If you are a effective blog owner, you have probably tried to
think of various ways that you could establish a more loyal
readership and gain a steadier following of fans throughout the
internet. The idea behind having a blog in the first place is to
have an established set of readers, whether you are looking at
making a profit from your blog or just passing the time with a
blogging hobby. Either way, one of the ways of going about doing
so is by creating video blogging excitement on your page!
What good do videos do on your page, you ask? It is very simple;
think about the state of things today as related to technology.
Video cellular phones, Youtube, Myspace videos and even
flip-down television sets in the back seats of people’s motor
vehicles–video is the new revolution. Why not have the same
types of instant video excitement on your blog? If anything can
help to create a base of loyal readers, video on your blogs
certainly can.
If you want to incorporate videos into your blog, there are a
couple of ways that you can go about it. First of all, you can
make your videos on your own or you can get them from other
places, with the appropriate permissions of course. Videos
usually serve a purpose; they aren’t supposed to be on your blog
just for color. Again, they should be just one more reason to
have people visit your blog, and they will only do this if your
videos are useful to them for some reason or another. Comedic
value, information, or any other type of entertainment are all
valuable assets to any video that might make them perfect for
helping you to gain a loyal readership of your blog.
There are a million and one reasons why video on your blog can
help get it more established, but the main reason is that it
appeals to a whole different type of person than the text part
of your blog does. Video blogging appeals to the part of the
population that learns better by seeing others do it, and pays
better attention to those things that are in actual visual form
rather than in written form. It has to do with learning styles,
which are very important to development of just about anything.
One thing to keep in mind when it comes to video blogging: keep
it short and sweet. People only know how to pay attention for a
short period of time before their attention diverts to something
else, so if you can’t hold your viewer/reader’s attention for
more than a few minutes you should probably keep your videos
short on your blog, and help divert your reader’s attention to
another ‘wonderful something’ that is to be seen on your blog.
